Adirondack Chair at Sunrise

Sometimes timing is an amazing thing.  I was trying to sell prints in this restaurant up in the Adirondacks.  I have all kinds of Adirondack style images.  They wanted Lake George pictures.  I have some but not much with drama.  Besides, big lakes are hard to photograph.  While pondering what to do, I drove past this hotel I've driven by a hundred times.  I just happened to glance out on the lake and noticed that the dock this hotel owned was littered with Adirondack chairs.  They were also positioned in a direction that would work great at sunrise.

The next morning, I got my gear and headed to the dock.  I positioned the chairs (in this case chair) the way I wanted them.  I was then blessed to get some terrific predawn color and the rest just happened. This shot is a good seller and is now the Home Page picture of that hotel - The Trout House Village in Hague, NY.
