Bloodroot Bloodroot is an early spring bloom in the Adirondacks. They generally grow in bunches. They also have a unique quirk in that they open up in lots of sunlight. If you have a gray, dreary day, you'll often find many of these blooms closed up. It was a bright day when I came across this plant. I used a diffuser to cut back on the harsh light. I metered the white and overexposed a stop and a third. |
