Bog and Sky

There are some images that you can't help but stick the horizon line right in the middle.  I tried a few compositions here to avoid the cliche' composition but this set up was the strongest.  If the sky had less character to it, I might have done things differently but the puffy clouds really added to the image and a polarizer added a nice amount of punch to the overall scene.

This is one of those locations that works well a couple hours before sunset after the sun has already started to come down from its high angle (but not too far).  The polarizer works well here in the summer because the sun is directly behind me, making the use of a polarizer much easier.  For this image, I spot metered the grasses and shot normal and 1/3 over.
