Color at Dawn on Jersey Shore

This image was recently included in a book called America the Beautiful.  This was taken on a cold winter morning around the winter solstice.  The winter is a great time to come to the shore.  The patterns along the beach are always different and during low tide, there are lots of tide pools that seem to only occur along this stretch of beach in late December through most of January.

This image was taken from the top of a rock wall using a 70 to 300mm zoom, shot on Velvia 100.
