Diffused Field

I am a 'create it in the field' guy.  Photoshop is great but I see the creative possibilities of subjects in the field, not on the computer screen.  So when people say you can do that effect in Photoshop, I say, maybe you can but my brain doesn't work that way.

This was shot on a windy day while out in Whitesbog in New Jersey.  Using a long lens, a small aperture and a long exposure while employing a diffuser filter and shooting at a 6300 Kelvin setting, at +1 exposure, I was able to capture this scene.  The lines in this image, as contrary as they are in portions, has a flow that I like.  The purple dots of the Meadow Rue behind the barren scrub bush add a nice touch that I found appealing.
