Flowers and Grass

This was taken at Whitesbog in NJ.  There are several large open fields that were at one time working bogs.  These fields now are home to tall swaying grasses and a variety of wildflowers.  Dragonflies can also be found marking their territory and watching over their parcels in great abundance.

For this shot I used a diffuser filter.  I wanted to create something a little different and the image straight through the lens wasn't what I was picturing.  I wanted something a little more artsy, something a little more dreamy like.  The diffuser was the tool to use to accomplish that goal.  I was also able to achieve this look by using a long lens, a small f/stop (22) and a longish exposure.  The long exposure was to capture some of the flow of the swaying grasses.
