Leopard Frog

In the Pine Barrens, Leopard Frogs are one of the most common frogs you will find along with the Green Frog.  The Bullfrog is not as common as one might think in the Pine Barrens. 

This shot was taken in the late spring.  When shooting frogs, I like to move slowly.  If you want to get close, patience and slow movements is the key.  Using a 100mm macro lens I was able to get close enough to fill the frame and create this profile shot.  I shot this at f/8 in order to achieve some depth but balancing it by not making the background too noisy.
