Chair, Snow, Moon Winter in the Adirondacks can be an exciting time. For one, because much of the winter sunrises are later in the morning, it is easier to get up for. Also, I enjoy the snowscapes that nature can create. For this shot I had to employ a 2 stop neutral density filter to keep the sky in check with the foreground. I shot several versions of this scene, always trying to keep the moon in the composition. This was shot about 45 minutes before sunrise and the only color was the glow of the new days light the hovered the mountains peaks. It didn't last long but I was glad to capture it. |
