Eye Portrait

Experimenting is the name of the game. You always have to stretch out the imagination and go with ideas.  I decided one afternoon, on a bright day, to do a close up shot of my eye while blowing out the skin tones to see how it would look.  I used a 50mm macro lens, auto focus and stood within a few inches of the lens, constantly adjusting the distance ever so slightly here and there to create the most interesting shot.   In Photoshop I pumped up the blues a little, went into LAB color for a minor adjustment, added some more contrast and there you go - an eye portrait.
