Pine Barrens Tree Frog

This was taken on my Pine Barrens Workshop.  We waited for nearly an hour for the morning rain to stop.  Once it did, we were out of cars and into the bog.  While participants were shooting lots of bog flowers, I decided to try and locate one of these guys.  The calls were echoing throughout the bog and it can be a frustrating experience to find an inch and a half frog that blends right into the landscape.  None-the-less, I wanted to find one.  Our previous evenings shoot was a washout and I really wanted the folks to experience this beautiful and endangered species.

One of the other participants, Tom, came over to help. After almost 40 minutes of waiting patiently to close in on one, we spotted this fellow.  I told Tom to snap some shots while I alerted the others.  We all moved slowly and everyone was able to get their shots.  When they were done I set up and shot mine.  I went through a roll and a half before the little guy decided he had posed enough.
