Rocks and Predawn in Maine

Acadia National Parks has thousands of beautiful scenes to shoot, so shooting something new can be tough.  While on a shooting week at the park, Dermot Conlan and I came across an area called The Ovens.  You won't find it on too many maps, but it's an area with a unique rock structure that looks like a series of ovens.  While waiting for some early light to shine on them, I found this scene of these two rocks against the backdrop of the mainland.  I had to use a 3 stop soft grad to keep the exposure values so that they would blend smoothly together to make a scene that was more to what I saw.
