Solomons Seal Bud Emerging

With the spring brings the emergence of new life.  This emerging Solomon Seal bud was taken in Hacklebarney State Park in New Jersey.  I used a fairly wide open aperture (5.6) to help blur out the background.  This is an interesting plant to look at and photograph.  They are quite common in hardwood forests but I wonder how many people actually take notice of this fine species of plant life?
