The Stairs

This was shot on my 2006 Adirondack Fall Workshop.  I've shot and have brought many workshop groups to this wonderful location.  This area is known as The Stairs as there are several small waterfalls that dot this particular part of the river.  In the spring, this falls is teeming over with water but in the fall it is much more tame.  This rock in the foreground was new and so I used not only for the shot but as an instructional illustration of how to incorporate foreground subjects into an image.   ISO 200, f/16 @ 1/2 second.
