Wall of Color

This shot is taken from the top of the biggest falls at Hacklebarney State Park (see Winter shot for falls).   In the fall, the park is sea of gold and yellow with a smattering of reds thrown in.  But for some reason, the color change happens fast and doesn't linger long.  You have to really time your visit right to get a great view of the colors here.  Of all the years I've been coming here, I've only witnessed two superb color changes, this image is taken from one of those times.  to expose for this scene, I spot metered the brightest yellows and overexposed them by 1/3 and 2/3 stops.
