Adirondack Autumn Workshop October 16, 17, 18
All of the above weekend workshops will feature a series of exercises that will help the photographer explore their creative potential. Nearly every session will contain an exercise for the photographer to work on for up to 45 minutes. Shooting sessions are generally around 3 hours, if not more. Ample time is given for free shooting sessions to shoot subjects that may appeal to you but are not part of an exercise piece. It is my aim to help you explore the potential of your equipment, your creativity and your approach to subjects in the field. You are free to bring images to show to the group and have discussions about them. During the course of the workshop time is provided so everyone can share the images they are shooting in the sessions. These workshops are designed for all levels. I will adjust assignments to people's skills level if need be but I believe everyone will have no problem interpreting and executing the exercises in a manner that best suites their abilities.

| *There is some concern in the photography world as to what a workshop and or a tour is about. Some folks believe a workshop leader should not photograph while hosting a workshop. While a tour basically is deemed something where people photograph alongside the leader of the tour. My workshops are both workshop and tour. I don't always shoot but I will at times and when I shoot, I also share the shot with participants and go over what I'm doing, how I'm doing it and why I'm doing it. I also provide as much instruction and hands on time with participants as is needed as well as provide slide presentations on a variety of topics and image critiques where applicable. With that said, I just want to be clear that I might do some shooting on these workshops but that the participants needs always come first. |
